
Thick Walled Microduct
Thick Walled microduct (TWD) are characterized by heavy wall microducts and a relatively thin outer sheath. The microducts themselves are rugged enough to protect the fiber cables inside, assemblies consist of a number of microducts with an inner low friction surface. Typical dimensions for TWD inner tubes diameters are from 2.1 mm up to 22 mm.


Overview:
Thick Walled Microduct “TWD” Assemblies consist of tubes with a smooth or ribbed inner surface that enables an air blown installation of micro cables. The micro ducts are sheathed with one layer without moisture barrier. It provides excellent protection from the physical environment withstanding significant amount of pressure by pulling, and it is easy to branch off for network expansion.
Thick Walled Microduct is designed for direct burial by having thicker inner tube. It has advantage for easy and fast termination with thin outer sheath. The thickness of each inner tube allows individual tubes to be used direct buried solution. This item is suitable for any construction sites such as open cut, Micro trenching and Mini trenching. This product is usually recommended to the site which requires fast and easy sheath cutting during fiber branch off.
Application:
The thick walled microduct bundles consist of a number of microducts with an inner low friction surface that enables installation of air-blown fiber unit cables. The thick inner wall of the microducts allow for installation directly into the ground without the need for additional protection.
